For many new patients, allergy skin testing is helpful in identifying possible allergy triggers. In order to do allergy skin testing, you need to be off of antihistamines for five full days (Benadryl for three days, Clarinex for seven days). Many over the counter cough/cold medications as well as over the counter sleeping medications contain antihistamines. If you are unable to get off of anthistamines due to severe allergy symptoms or hives, it's OK - Just stay on the antihistamines and come in for the appointment.
New patients need to fill out two pages prior to their initial visit with the doctor. You may fill them out at our office during your initial appointment, or you may print them below and fill them out prior to your appointment. You need Adobe Reader to view these documents.
